02/20/06 - The scannewbedford.com feed will be up and down every so often because of a change over in isp and new network configuration. if you notice that the feed is down, this is only temporary and you should try to reconnect in a little while. sorry for any inconvenience.

10/01/05 - scannewbedford.com feed will be done for a few weeks due to me moving to a new home. i will post back here when i have fully moved into my new home and the site feed will be back up. I finally bought my own home. i have been working hard for this and my dream finally came true. wish me luck as i move all my clutter to my new home.

8/11/04 - scannewbedford.com has been up and down for the past few weeks. I am very happy to announce that most of the down time has past. The reason why the scanner feed has been so unstable lately is because i have switched to a new server and changed my isp. I was using comcast as a internet service provider, but due to financial hardships i had to downgrade to verizon dsl. On the other hand, the server is now a lot newer and more powerful then the last. the components are of better quality and i think you will notice better clarity on the audio.

The new server was a donation from a local listener who was upgrading his business computer to a newer and faster one. Scannewbedford had just inherited a new computer with the following tech specs

New server hardware:

  • Intel Pentium 4 processor
  • 512mb of Ram
  • 64mb ATI Radeon video card
  • 40gig hard drive
  • Creative sound card
  • Network interface card
